Symantec Technical Support is currently investigating this issue, and pending the outcome of our investigation, an orphan hotfix may be available.

Enterprise Vault partition backups cause beremote.exe to crash on bedsev.dll

Symantec has not been able to reproduce this behavior.  Customers are encouraged to contact Technical Support, as data is still being gathered on this issue and an Orphan hotfix will be released shortly for testing.

Problem

Exchange 2010 GRT restore of calendar item fails with error “0xe00002fd - Cannot restore properties for one or more messages or folders” and the EWS log reports the error “Exception in Commit Unable to convert 2009-01-01T00:00:00 from (GMT+08:00) Perth to UTC.”

Opt-Dupe job appears to hang during dismounting of OST media.

Problem

Opt-Dupe jobs may appear to hang during media dismount operations when the device and media database is stored on a remote Central Administration Serve across a Wide-Area Network (WAN) connection.

SymSnap service starts and stops frequently filling the Window's system event log when the Diskeeper utility is installed.

After the installation of the Diskeeper corporation's Diskeeper 2011 server edition application, the Symantec Symsnap VSS Provider service begins a stopping and starting cycle filling up the Window's system events log. Diskeeper is still able to perform disk defragmentation successfully.

IP address changes from static to DHCP following a restore anyware when using the Symantec Recovery Disk (SRD).

Problem

Following a restore anyware using the Symantec Recovery Disk (SRD), the IP address of the server may change from static to DHCP.

This has been seen when restoring from virtual to physical, physical to physical, or virtual to virtual machines.

Scheduled NDMP jobs from a Celerra fail with 0xe000fe28

Attempting to run an NDMP Option policy based backup job from an EMC device to a Backup-to-disk (B2D) folder on a media server fails reporting the error 0xe000fe28. If the job is run manually instead of  via the set schedule, the job completes successfully.
