Problem

Symantec System Recovery (SSR) recovery point set backups to a Dell RD1000 drive fail with the error listed below.

File/Folder level backups to the same drive are successful.

Error

E7D1001F Error: Can not write to the file.

Problem:

In Backup Exec 2010 R3 when searching for files to restore the Backup Exec Engine may crash during that search.

The Backup Exec Debug Monitor (SGMon) fails to run by the user who is a member of the Backup Operators group if the User Access Control (UAC) is disabled.

Backups of virtual machines running on Citrix XenServer 6.1 are failing with the errors listed below.

Error

High Priority Error: Error EC8F17B7: Cannot create recovery points for job: Drive Backup of (C:\).
Error E7D1001F: Unable to write to file.

With BE 2010 R3, running an Optdup backup job marks the destination OST media size as 16,777,216.0 TB. The source client side backup job and its optimized duplication job completes successfully but will mark the destination OST media with such bogus image size.
