Exchange full mailbox restore to a PST on the Media Server crashes Beremote on edbprov.dll

When restoring an entire Mailbox to a PST beremote.exe crashes on edbprov.dll and the job fails.  This is seen when the restore job is targeted to a local folder on the Backup Exec media server.

Complete VM restore job for an incremental backup fails with 0xe0009585 Unable to open a disk of the virtual machine

Issue relates to cancelling or failing a job in the incremental sequence. Please see the tech article for more details.

When attempting to restore with Backup Exec 2012 a pop up error occurs: "Unable to insert the (restorejobname). The restore job has no selections."

This error occurs when attempting to restore all files of a specific type by inserting a wild card in the selection list.

Backups to a Deduplication storage folder may stay in queued longer than normal.

An issue may come up where a media that is requested to be overwritten exists outside of the slot range in the deduplication storage folder.

Should this occur, all jobs to that device will stay in queued until an overwritable media, has been located and mounted.

Remote Agent crash and Error "Dynamic Query Connection Logon failure" occurs when enumerating backup selections in Backup Exec 2012.

When attempting to enumerate backup selections list, an error occurs and beremote agent crashes.

In Backup Exec 2010 R3, Backup Exec Server service crashes immediately after starting.

When starting Backup Exec server service, the service crashes.  The following Event is recorded in Windows Event Viewer:

After upgrade to 2012, incremental backup completes with exception and adds *.* to selection details.

An incremental backup job migrated from Backup Exec 2010 will complete with an exception indicating changes have been made to the selections, although no changes have been made.  Upon viewing selection details after the incremental job completes, a " *.* "  appears to be added to the selection list.

Available Cluster Disks do not show in Backup Selections in non-English environment

The available cluster disks on Micorsoft Failover Cluster do not show in the backup selections in the environment other than English. It is not possible to back up the data on those disks in such environment.

When attempting to backup a VMware virtual machine with GRT enabled, the backup may complete with the exception "One or more virtual disks contain volumes that do not support Granular Recovery Technology (GRT)"

This issue is currently under investigation.

A backup or restore job will fail with: Backup Exec Virtual File Filter (VFF) driver must be installed on the media server.
