This issue has only been seen to occur with Sharepoint 2010 Foundation and seems to be caused because of differences in search with Sharepoint 2010 Server where the issue does not occur.  Workaround is to manually start the search crawl after backup.

Attempting to restore documents to disk, from a successful GRT Sharepoint backup, either from disk or tape, may cause the job to hang and not complete. The restore directory structure may be created, but the document(s) will not.

When Backing up a remote Hyper-V server with GRT enabled to disk on a WIndows XP 32bit media server the Backup Exec Remote Agent stops on the media server.   The Backup Exec remote agent terminates when the job is in the "Updating Catalogs" status.

If standard remote agent selections are included in the same selection list as VMware selections then depending on the "Resource Order" and other job settings you may see a failure or the differential and incremental jobs running as a full jobs.

When using Backup Exec System Recovery Management Solution (BESRMS), to manage client machines, if one of those machines has more than one backup policy assigned to it and the description of one of those policies is modified, the machine will show up twice in the BESRMS Manage Tasks view.

The push install of the Backup Exec 12.5 Remote Agent for Windows Servers (RAWS) always indicates "There are 5 updates which will be applied" after installing Backup Exec 12.5 SP4 and post SP4 hotfixes.  Additionally during the push install the process may fail with a confection error.

VXGather appears to hang for several hours if Backup Exec Deduplication and OST \ PDDE LOGS is selected.

 

Large file count in folder path:
<Storage Location>\log\spad\ServerName.Domain.Local\pvlsvr.exe\spad\1

When running the Backup Exec Intelligent Disaster Recovery Preparation Wizard on the Media Server where IDR is installed a message pops up stating:

"Unable to find Backup Exec installation on ServerName. Ensure that the
proper credentials are used to connect to ServerName.

NDMP restore or Redirect Restore may fail with the following error below if the Buffer size is changed on the Tape drive.  This occurs when the Tape drive performing the NDMP restore is attached to the Backup Exec Media server.  Example: If the Buffer Size on the tape drive was changed from 512K to 1MB and the Block size is set to 512K.

Tech Note: More Information

The Backup Exec server service may crash on several media servers at the same time on the same day. The same may then occur at a later date at different intervals in between. A temporary workaround to avoid this is outlined in the technote linked with this issue.
