Altiris Makes a Way for Better, Cleaner Toilets in Schools

This article talks about the school system running so lean and mean (thanks to Symantec and Altiris products) that they don't have to waste money on high-paid IT folks.

In their own words:
"What's the point of having top-notch IT if the children are holding on all day and can't concentrate because they can't go to the stinking toilets?"

Pages 4 and 5 highlight some of the benefits of Altiris and Symantec, including allowing students to re-image their own PCs.

Read it for yourself here.

Probably i have to figure out to get paid for svs4usb, because screenbert took away my food, drinks, and my car.

Altiris House is awesome!

Do you have a roomba? How would you make the Vacuum cleaner automatically turn on?

Roomba automation

Yes, I do have a Roomba. They have nifty IR sensors which give them remote control operations. Simply emulating the IR signal that turns it on and causes it to back off its charger works like a charm!

This definitely could cause

This definitely could cause IT staff to lose jobs. Not all bosses believe that a team of IT is necessary to manage 2000 computers and 10,000 students. This article tends to give that opinion. I would like to know how they have the permissions setup to allow students to rebuild their own systems.
