I have received a lot of questions about the recent release of IT Management Suite (ITMS) 7.0. Most of the questions revolve around what solutions are included in the suite and how the entitlement works.
So hopefully the information below will clear things up a little.
When you procure ITMS you get the following components:
Client Management Suite 7 and Server Management Suite 7 (1 license for each license of ITMS) Deployment Solution 7.1/6.9 SP3 Inventory Solution 7.0 SP2 Inventory for Network Devices 7.0 SP2 Inventory Pack for Servers 7.0 SP2 Monitor Pack for Servers 7.0 SP2 Out-of-Band Management Component 7.0 SP2 Patch Management Solution for Linux 7.0 SP2 Patch Management Solution for Mac 7.0 SP2 Patch Management Solution for Windows 7.0 SP2 pcAnywhere Solution 12.5 SP2 Power Scheme Task component 7.0 SP3 Real-Time System Manager 7.0 SP2 Software Management Solution 7.0 SP2 Virtual Machine Management 7.0
Asset Management Suite (1 concurrent license for every 600 licenses of ITMS) Asset Management Solution 7.0 Barcode Solution 7.0 CMDB Solution 7.0
Other Data Connector Symantec Endpoint Protection Integration Component 7.0 SP1 Symantec ServiceDesk 7.0 MR1 (a single Base (5) license and then additional Analyst licenses for every additional 100 licenses of ITMS) Symantec Workflow Solution 7.0 SP2 (single license) Wise Connector 7.0 Wise Package Studio Suite 8.0 (1 license per 500 license of ITMS)
So is the old days of CMS, SMS, AMS, and TMS now replaced with the OP's items? I see that Server is rolled into CMS and thier is no TMS. Is their anything NOT in ITMS? kinda like TMS (but without workflow since that came out later/seperate)? And is the 7.1 solution deck the same as well? Is Ghost and PGP and SEP all still seperate? Thank you in advance for clarifing for me.
