Another Day at the Office @ Symantec - Part Deux
Green, Yellow, Red, and Grey - not quite a rainbow, but they are welcome colors around the community. If you read last week's blog post, you may be asking yourself, what does this have to do with being customer-centric at Symantec?
Well, if you've visited the community over the last week, you've probably noticed a variety of colored-badges popping up within forum threads. Most people associate "green, yellow, and red" with a stoplight; when to "go," when to either "speed up or slow down," and when to "stop." Fortunately, all the colors mentioned can be associated with "go," = assistance = customer centric.
Let me take a minute to define the colors for you, and why they are important.
- The newest color, green, is used for technical support folks who are assisting customers on the forums.
- Yellow, as you know, is used for the Symantec Employee's who are assisting.
- The all important red badge signifies our Trusted Advisors.
- Last but not least, the color grey. Not the most noticable color, and probably not your favorite, but we have plans to change that. The grey badge is used for the admins on the site (I'm sure you know that already).
This is just one example of how we are reaching out to you, our customers, to engage and be proactive. Let us know if you're seeing a difference in the community and level of engagement by Symantec. Next week, more on "being green."
Best,
Eric

Thanks for the info. Just
Thanks for the info.
Just curious. The Green is for non Symantec employees other than the trusted advisor right?
How are they different from the truster advisors?
thanks.

Green IS for Symantec Employees...
They happen to be support engineers. Red = Trusted Advisors are not employees, but have been customers for a long time, and have contributed regularly on the boards and are considered subject matter experts.
Best,
Eric
