AppStream Joins Altiris Developer Program; Optimizes for SVS

Altiris announced today that that AppStream has formally joined their developer program and has updated their application streaming technology to fully leverage Altiris' Software Virtualization Solution.

In a nutshell, this alliance will give IT organizations the ability use AppStream 5.1 to provide instant delivery and activation of applications virtualized by Altiris® SVS™ software.

AppStream technology provides efficient and flexible streaming to deliver on-demand applications to the desktop. The combination of SVS with AppStream technology offers IT organizations the following benefits:
