Those with current maintenance should see an email when?
At this time, the planned delivery of upgrade notifications to eligible customers or with customer who has current maintenance is approximately 1-2 weeks after the general release date, however, this time frame is subject to change due to the prevailing factors at that time.
Cheers!

What is the trialware time period? 60-days as with Backup Exec 12.5?
Are the licenses for our clients going to be immediately available if they have that in their SLA with Symantec?

Does anyone have the SHA-1 or other checksum to verify the trial download of BEX 2010 from the Trialware url http://trialware.norton.com/files/fc/Backup_Exec_2010_13.0.2896_MultiPlatforms_Multilingual_DVD.iso ?
Also it appears that the managed downloads section of FileConnect linked from the Licensing Portal is broken, it opens a popup window without any scroll bars so you have to navigate by selecting blocks of text! If you manage to naviagate the tiny window the Java download applet from fileconnect.symantec.speedera.net generates warnings that it appears to be expired if you are using Java 6 Update 17 on Vista SP2. The certificate expired Sun Sep 13 16:59:59 MST 2009.
Lastly I also tried to report this via the Symantec Customer Care website at https://customercare.symantec.com/app/, however it is caught in an infinite reload loop in both Firefox 3.5.7 and IE 7. Hopefully I'll get a response from the FileConnect download survey about these errors.
Update from Symantec Support, if you navigate directly to the FileConnect URL (which requires knowing the correct serial number) the window size issue is not a problem, however the Java applet remains expired.
Updated 13:46, corrected expiration date of certificate and added suggestion from Symantec Support.
Will the SBS variant of Backup Exec 2010 support installation on Server 2008 Hyper-V host with SBS in a virtual machine? (Impossible with 12.5) What kind of solution do you offer for this setup?
That's is not a Symantec issue. It is a Microsoft issue. When you have SBS 2008 running as a GUEST in a Hyper-V setup. The GUESS have no way to access the SCSI tape drives. Therefore BackupExec can't see it.
I have the same problem.
I have heard but have not tried that VMWARE does support access to SCSI tape drives from the GUESS session.
since the package is sold as a backup solution for SBS 2008 premium which contains everything needed to install SBS as a hyper-v guest. But Symantec doesn't care.
i need help removing a virus the only way i can think of that i got is is i download music at mp3raid.com HELP!!

@balliard : Symantec is aware of the issue and is working on a fix sometime soon. More updates to come. Please stay tuned.
Please don't upgrade it before you test it first, there are many issues and updates to come, read the documents and best practice guide first before you do upgrades.
May all your issue be resolved... Symantec Enterprise Support.
I did an upgrade on 2 sites...no hassles. Called for my licenses...none available! Doh!!!
I don't intend to upgrade any other sites until my customer's upgrade licenses come through...

I've tested on over five different sites and no huge hassles either. I wil be curious to see if there is some database issues when I go through some html 5 updates.
