Auto-Start Application with Layer Activation

It's nice to have your main app launch automatically as soon as you activate a layer.

I don't know what method others use, here's one that I found and seems really easy.

In SVS Admin:

  1. Dbl-click the layer to edit it (you need to de-activate it first)
  2. In Files tab, go to its System (try this first) and browse its COMMONDESKTOP / COMMONSTARTMENU folders (or User-Specific folder's DESKTOP / STARTMENU folders)
  3. Right click and copy the main app's icon (created during installation) and paste it in System\COMMONSTARTUP.
  4. That's it!

This entry in COMMONSTARTUP can be used for more than only one application ?

Yes

Yes it can be used for any number of apps. It can even point to an app outside the layer. Though if you plan to install the layer on another system, make sure the out-of-layer application exists on that system as well or the shortcut won't work.
