UPDATE (May 5th, 2011): As per the 1st comment below, this is now ‘gold’ and it is also now included with Backup Exec 2010 R3 which you can now get via Fileconnect or as Trialware at http://backupexec.com

As part of an initiative based on feedback from various customers and partners, we are completing work on a Backup Exec plug-in for VMware (vSphere 4.x). The idea is to allow the VMware administrator to see the status of backups for all Virtual Machines in the environment and help determine if anything has been missed.

If you currently have the latest version of Backup Exec (2010) and a VMware vSphere solution, and are interested in getting a “First Look” to try out the new plugin, please send us an e-mail at james_mckey@symantec.com and use the subject line: "Backup Exec VMware plugin". You need say nothing more than "I'm in!" unless you prefer to share your latest funny story or hilarious link, in which case, go for it.
