A single server edition of BE is a great idea. This will give my smaller clients the ability to have enterprise level backup without having to take such a giant leap, price wise.

Keep the good ideas coming!

Relative to the enterprise world a single server edition of backup exec could act as a great remote office site when used in conjunction with deduplicating replication to an enterprise site.  Only thing that is going to hold me back from purchase is the level of technical support offered; what ever happeded to Veritas?

I am really really keen to see this.

Also Symantec need to redo the whole OEM Thing. To purchase OEM and then not be able to renew support completely defeats the purpose, as the price over 2 years is considerably more than 1 full license with support. I am now stuck (Since I wasn't informed) trying to tell a dozen clients they need to pay another $1000 for the product a year later.
