Never resting on their laurels (what are those anyways?) the guys from down under have come up with yet another (yawn) NS hot fix, patch, roll up, upgrade, update... {insert you favorite patching metaphor here} for your viewing enjoyment.
Here is a what the command prompt in Windows should be like.
This cool app allows for multiple shells to run within a single window, different shells to run at the same time (CMD & Powershell right next to each other!) and a few other cool eye-candy effects.

The AMS & CMS suites are probably the two most widely used combination of products available from Altiris. Once you've been working with them for a while, there comes a time in every boy's life where he needs to start looking under the hood.... Now I'm not talking about the whole birds & the bees thing. You're at the wrong website if you're looking for that information.
One of the things Altiris is good for is collecting data. All kinds of juicy bits of data. And it's good at storing it too, in all kinds of little tables here and there. BIG DEAL! It's no good to anyone just sitting around collecting dust. So let's put it to good use, let's dress it up and take it out for a night on the town.
Just wanted to post an FYI for anyone who has upgraded to the the R5 SP3 release for NS.
The Altiris Agent package that comes with that release has received an update. The build number for the R5 release is 2386, the newest build is 2387 and resolves an issue on the 64bit platforms with the agent.
Who hasn't heard of PSTools??? Well then crawl out from under that rock, outta that hole or outta your parents' basement just for a minute. Here's a great GUI front end to the ever popular command line toolset.
