Converting a Wise Script (.exe) Back to Wise Script File (.wse)
Created: 18 Feb 2009 | Updated: 18 Feb 2009 | 2 comments
The process of converting Wise Script made exe's back to Wise scripts (.wse) is not efficient with any utilities available in the market.
It is always advisable to keep a copy of the Wise script embedded in the exe, so that we can get back the project file at anytime even if the source file is lost.
Steps:
- Create your own Wise script
- Include the script in itself
- Compile the script
- Run the executable with "/script" as cmd parameter, you will get back the wise script in %TEMP% location.

This is really a good way to get back scripts. But is there a way to get back scripts from the exe. I would want to know if there is a tool to do this. We require it here in our project. Even if it is not efficient, if we can get some part of the code even that would be good.
Hi There,
There is no tools which can convert the wise made exe to .wse file. Only thing u can do is extract the files which are embededed in the wise script.
