So what am I hoping to get out of the event?

I am hoping to see if people like the neat UI stuff we are doing. Since the improvements we are making should make their jobs a lot easier, I have some pretty high expectations.

I get to give demos and I am hoping to break a streak of demos that blew up for the strangest reasons.

I am looking forward to taking time to reconnect with old friends over a good meal or two.

I like to hear about the solutions our customers are brewing up from our platform and tools.

I want people to explain to me why they keep things infinitely. I helped put together a survey recently where 17% of respondents used infinite retention periods for at least some of their backups. I want to better understand the business requirements and see if their company is serious about the forever business.  I suspect it means, "I hope it isn’t my problem in 25 years".

Most importantly, I want to see Joe in the big blue suit. I'll try and post some more pictures. I was considering borrowing the costume for Halloween, but I have decided to dress up as a 401K statement instead.
