Does SVS work with Windows NT?
Updated: 29 Jul 2010
Q:
Greg inquired, "I note that the SVS File System Filter Driver uses Windows NT technology, but the app still requires Win2000 or WinXP. Would I be right in assuming it won't run on WinNT, and if so, why? This is more a matter of personal curiosity, as hardly anybody runs WinNT these days."
A:
Greg, in this case, we are using "NT" to refer more generically to the architectural family tree of NT/2K/XP/Vista vice 3.x/9x/Me. SVS requires certain functionality that MS did not introduce until the Windows 2000 era, such as the ability to load multiple versions of the same DLL into memory at the same time.
