Early Discounted Hotel Rates Extended
Have you registered for Vision 2010 in Las Vegas?
If not, you'll want to do it before March 22, 2010. That's when the discounted hotel rates will vanish!
$129 per night plus tax through March 22, 2010**
$154 per night plus tax - Conference rate from March 16 – April 7, 2010
Make sure you book your room at the MGM Grand through the online conference registration system to receive a $175* gift card that can be applied directly to your guestroom account, at restaurants, shops, shows or the spa at MGM Grand. Those registering with a vendor, employee, or other discount codes are not eligible for the $175 MGM Grand gift card. This offer is available until April 7, 2010.
**Changes made to an existing reservation after March 22 may result in room rates reverting back to the $154 conference rate, if additional nights are requested.

I registered for Vision and got my Hotel reservation on 01/12/10 at the rate of $154. I now see the rate is $129. What do I need to do to get the "Early Discounted Rate"? Should I cancel my existing reservation?

Great question! Thanks for posting it, as I'm sure there are other registered attendees that are thinking the same thing. The MGM has extended the discounted room rate deadline to Feb 15. So no matter when you registered or what room rate was published at that time, you will receive the discounted rate of $129 when you check in to the hotel. In short, as long as you're in before Feb 15, you'll receive the lower rate.

Further clarification: Do not cancel your existing reservation in our registration system. The change to the discounted room rate will happen automatically on the back side of the system. Thanks!
I"m Just wondering if any charges will be applied to my card when I make the reservation, or if it will be charged when I check out at the end of the conference.
Your credit card will not be charged until you check out of the hotel. We will not be pre-charging your card before then. Thank you for your question!
My room has been reserved for many months. I need to change the checkout date. The system has a notification the change to the reservation will increase my room rate. Should I cancel my current reservation and recreate a new reservation with the correct dates?
Thank you for your question! Please do not cancel your current reservation. Fortunately, the MGM extended the lower room rate deadline till Feb 15. So log back in and make the change before the deadline expires. As long as your new checkout date is within 3 days after the program dates, the lower room rate will still apply. The notification you see on the registration system applies to changes made after the lower promotional rate expires and/or reservations beyond 3 days pre/post the event.
