5:30 in the morning after waking up, showering and getting dressed I check my Blackberry. 30 unread messages.

No I’m not that popular and I’m not subscribed to blog sites, porn sites or any other meeting / dating site all 25 of the 30 messages are from MOM telling me about how Enterprise Vault has misbehaved during my few hours of slumber

Message 1: Event warning Event ID: 2776 Is this new...hmmm nope we have an open support ticket on that one.. Still ongoing

Message 2: Event warning Event ID: 2276 again nothing new another one we have an open ticket on...

Message 3: Event warning Event ID: 2246 oh another one we have a support call on...

Message 4: Event warning Event ID: 10016 just another on the never ending list

Message 5: Event warning Event ID: 26009 It just keeps going and going

Message 6: Event warning Event ID: 41070 Oh please kill me if i have to read more of the same old every day

Message 7: Event warning Event ID: 6592 this happens so often I think I should just mark it as spam

Message 8: Event warning Event ID: 6786 I'm so glad that the application is called Enterprise Vault if it was called anything that sounds like a woman’s name I'm sure my wife would think I'm cheating on her I get so many emails from it.

Message 9: Event warning Event ID: 6760 ok I have had enough, I can’t read on any more it is like reading an obituary.

Time for some form of breakfast before I head to the office

Hope you all have a nice day

was this meant to be a April fools day post...anyway EV does tend to fill up the eventlogs fast with the usual warnings and errors..well it has it's on event log too...and sometimes post the same errors to the application log too!?

yes and no to your question.

Yes it is supposed to be an April fools to just cheer you up but No as it is trie life data from an EV environment of which the mentioned issues arise regulary and the event log is actually kicking these errors and Symantec are activly  trying to find the solution...

The solution is SP5 for EV 7.5

The fix was created for SP5 so the solution is to upgrade

Symantec support told me the fix is in SP5. I have not rolled out SP5 yet as i have other issues that i'm working with them on correcting.

I recommend you open a support case with them
