Enhanced Product Taxonomy!

I would like to bring to your attention the new additions made to our Backup and Archiving community's product taxonomy.

We have added four more products to the current list namely Compliance Accelerator, Discovery Accelerator, Discovery Collector and the all new NetBackup Appliances. So, with the new products added, we feel that it would make things easier for our users to tag their issues with the right products and to grab the right attention needed in having their issues resolved. We would have dedicated Symantec reps monitoring the conversations pertaining to all the products listed. Hence, we recommend having the content tagged appropriately.

Also, please make note that the product "OpsCenter Analytics (Backup Reporter)" have been renamed to "Ops Center" so as to accommodate content pertaining to both the products in one location and to eliminate the confusion while tagging content.

Finally, a quick note. NetBackup Realtime Protection has also been renamed to "NetBackup Realtime".

Please feel free to drop me a note with any comments regarding this topic. Thanks for reading!

Zahid, The following

Zahid,

The following definitions may assist:

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/taxonomy

http://www.bennetyee.org/http_webster.cgi?taxonomy

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/taxonomy

Basically, it appears this is an informational post to let the community know about new products/new names for existing products and where they fit into the current system/hierarchy.

regards,

Grace
