Today, Symantec has announced the evolution of our Symantec Partner Program. As we shared with you in April, our Partner Program will now focus on a Specializations model that rewards partners for expertise in the solution areas and growth markets they serve.
We are really excited about the new model, and how it will help you, our partners, differentiate your business, maximize sales opportunities, and accelerate profitability.
The program is available to all partners immediately, and will include three new Storage Specializations (making the number of Specializations 10), as well as a Master Specialization category, and new enablement resources.
Symantec Specializations recognize partners with advanced knowledge and experience in a solution area or market, and rewards them with preferential terms, privileges, and support from the Symantec Partner Program.
Master Specializations is a new category that recognizes and promotes partners with advanced consulting, technical, and service capabilities in a specialized solution area. These new Specializations are part of Symantec’s shift to partner-led consulting services, which offer greater scalability to meet customer requirements, reduced channel conflicts, and greater license sales potential.
As partners achieve Specializations and deepen their expertise in Symantec solutions, Symantec will provide partners with additional resources to help drive business in alignment with market opportunities. The new enablement resources [Hyperlink] include: Symantec IQ for Partners, Symantec Virtual Labs, and the Partner Beta Participation Program.
