2012 Has started and where many people believe the end of the world is near, I believe a new era will start. Cloud has been introduced and is moving very fast. It is shifting the world of computing and companies are looking at saving costs with this new technology.

Customers who use Symantec Workspace Virtualization can choose between the Standard Version or the Pro Version that includes streaming. Between SWV and SWV Pro you can also use SMART. And there is a new version available that you can use to centraly manage your applications, and give the end user some control on his layers like activate, de-activate and reset.

Me and my team worked several weeks on html5 technology to get access to VDi images from a remote location without having the need to install software. And wow that rocks.

HTMl5 gives people some very cool ways in doing their work.

Can you imagine starting Excell on an iPad?

Or using flash? On an iPad?

What once started as a website for Virtualization nerds has become the huge Symantec community of today.

I can still remember the day's that Altiris Juice started. What a cool idea to reward contributors and give space for those nerds.

And wow.

Looking at my stats I just saw that within three weeks i will be celebrating my 5 year membership:

9/11 I can never forget that day.

WOW! DVS SMART has almost reached 10.000 downloads. It's amazing and it tells us that there is a demand to have something between SVSadmin and SWS.

A lot of the users who downloaded the software have asked us for improvements and enhancements and we listened to this.

After attending the last three Vision conferences and having a lot of fun, this year I will not be there.

Last year had a very deep impact as myself and many others  who got stuck in Vegas by a volcano that erupted and stopped all transatlantic flights.

April 1st DinamiQs launched it's hybrid cloud portal. The webinar where we showed our powerpoint slide deck with the Hybrid cloud portal sheets where very successful and we got a lot of questions.

But it even gets better.

Last week our datacenter was installed and configured and the hybrid cloud is up and running.
