Exchange Mailbox Quotas

Many, many, many (many) Exchange Administrators impose quotas on their end-user community. It’s a must in my opinion. However, one of the common bug bears is that the end users don’t get to see how much they are using, until it’s “Almost too late”. They simply get an email (depending on configuration) when they have exceeded one of the limits.

Now, with Outlook 2010 you can turn on Quota Information in Outlook. Here is how:

Right click where it now says Items:

Tick the box next to Quota Information, to turn it on:

Then you will see :

You can also see it on the BackStage View:

And in case you are wondering which Quota is used … the answer is that it is the prohibit send value:
