We have had a hole in our Enterprise Vault training catalogue to date by not having a dedicated File System Archiving course. FSA is touched on in the standard Exchange course but it does not give you the knowledge you need to know to install, configure, manage and troubleshoot.

We have now developed a specific 4-day instructor led course dedicated to FSA. The first public teach will be in the Symantec, Reading, UK offices March 15th-18th. Registration is now open here.

The course is aimed at customers, consultants, support engineers, SE's or generally anyone that has a vested interest in File System Archiving. The full course description can be found here.

While the UK course is currently the only one scheduled, more will become available. You could help us in our planning by letting us know what locations you would like to see this course taught in. If you have enough demand, there is always the option to teach the course at your site.

If you do book and attend the course, then do let us know what you think of it. We've put a lot of work in to developing the course, so we're hoping you will all gain a lot of great knowledge from attending it.

Thanks Darren

My intention is to attend ,I just need to motivate it properly .It will be tough but I am the eternal optimist :)

I think you should seriously look at South Africa for a possible location to host this training sometime.

We have several customers who use File Archiving and many more interested ,so I'm sure you will get support from the various SA Symantec partners.

Maybe get Symantec SA to see who would be interested in attending so you can see if its worthwhile holding it here ?

Please expand the course selection to the US. I suspect my company would not be willing to send its employees to the UK for a course.

I would also suggest an overhaul of the existing documentation. There are numerous questions that have come up during my company's use of Enterprise Vault and it's difficult to keep calling support to get those questions answered when they could be answered within the documentation. We've had problems with the product and those should be dealt with by Technical Support, but having to contact support to get guidance on how to just use the product is not a good use of time or resources.

Thanks Darren,

I would love to see the course be a virtual academy or self paced course, else, offered in the North East of USA.
