Haunt Your PXE Menu with a Halloween Theme
Updated: 07 Jul 2009 | 3 comments
A change to the PXEManager.ini allows a PXE menu theme.
To change the default PXE them open the PXEManager.ini with your favorite text editor and change the following:
- Stop the PXEManager service.
- Open PXEManager.ini with notepad
- Under the [PXEConfig] section change PxeSrvBoot="0,0" to PxeSrvBoot="3,96"
- Save the changes. Close the file.
- Start the PXEManager service.
Now the next time PXE comes up on initial deployment a PXE Halloween theme is displayed.

What does it look like?
I'm curious as to what it looks like, I'm tempted to do it myself but I can't right now, Dev is unavailable and I'm definately not messing with production :)
Capture a screenshot with VMWare? Please? :D
I might give a whirl at
I might give a whirl at work this week, after hours. If I do, I'll make a screeny. In case I don't, I found an image of a thanksgiving themed PXE menu:

RE: I might give a whirl at
A word of caution. The Altiris juice article you reference applies to DS versions prior to 6.9.
