Highlight from the Symantec NetBackup Customer Forum in September 2010 -- NetBackup Domain Network Analyzer (NBDNA)
At the recent NetBackup customer forum, I had the opportunity to talk to some engineers about a very cool new utility called NBDNA – NetBackup Domain Networker Analyzer. Given the frequency with which network changes, not made by the backup administrator, affect backups, I thought this tool sounded very cool. The command utility analyzes the NetBackup domain and its configuration for network issues, performance, and behavior. It addresses hostname lookup and connectivity between NetBackup hosts and their role within the NetBackup domain.
NBDNA does the following:
- Discovers and maps the NetBackup domain
- Extracts the hostname memberships by querying the configuration
- Evaluates hostname lookup and socket connectivity to these hostnames to validate their network relationship status according to their domain configuration
NBDNA can be run on a NetBackup master server or media server. It creates and identifies a zip archive containing all generated reports. You can return the zip archive to Symantec upon request.

Sounds interesting, too bad there does not seem to be a Windows version available for download

Although it comes in a tar,gz there is a windows file in there.
I didnt actually get it from this page, got it from http://www.symantec.com/business/support/resources/sites/BUSINESS/content/live/TECHNICAL_SOLUTION/125000/TECH125454/en_US/nbdna2.1.tar_358517.gz
Have a look at the README.txt and there is instructions for Windows.
Sorry, but if is in a tar.gz file is not for windows by definition as it can't be opened there
Got the files for windows directly from support, but the output file was also a in format that couldn't be opened on windows
Really wish they would make a true windows version

I admit an exe or self extractor would be nice but the effort is well worth it for the information this utility provides.
You can use an LGPL licensed program called peazip to open tar and gzip files on Windows.
I would really recommend you try using the one from the link I posted earlier. I followed the instructions in the README included and ran the tool last night, the information is proving to be very usefull.
