We are happy to announce that HP Client Manager 6.2 is now available. HP Client Manger is the hardware management tool of choice for HP workstations, business PCs and notebook computers.
New in HP Client Manager 6.2 is support for Vista clients and Vista-ready reports. The ability to globally determine which HP systems meet the criteria for running Windows Vista is essential for planning effective company-wide Vista rollouts.
Note: Vista support requires the updated Altiris Agent included in Notification Server 6.0 SP3 R4, which is not due to ship for several weeks.
Also new in HP Client Manager 6.2 is integration with Out of Band Management Solution. IT managers will now be able to use HPCM to perform discovery, hardware inventory, power management, alerting, and other configuration tasks on their HP vPro systems, independent of system power and OS state. HPCM 6.2 includes full reporting of AMT capabilities for HP systems.
