IE 7 - Using Tabs in HelpDesk Solution

IE 7 is not fully supported (yet) by Altiris Helpdesk Solution. Some of my workers do have IE 7 installed and their only complaint is that they can't open an incident in a new window by "right clicking" the incident from one of the "incident lists"...

But they have discovered how to open incidents in a new window (under a new tab). Just select the incident from a list, hold down the Ctrl key and press either the view or edit button to view or edit the selected incident in a new window.

Easy, eh!

I've had exactly the same problem and thats a great tip but does anyone know when this problem will be fixed? or has there been any other solutions found since this post?

Thanks for the tip. I let our tier 1 staff know about this as soon as I read it. I've noticed that the Back button doens't play well when searching for old incidents. That forced us to perform the same search multiple times until the right ticket was found. Using the Ctrl key now allows us to view the search results without having to rerun the search every time.

This is not an issue anymore. We are using HD 6.0.308 w/ IE 7 and can right click and have an option to view or edit in a new window. Good fix.
