Imager Pick List Mode (MC50, MC70, and MC9090-G)

savnhga's picture

If you have problems where your MC50 doesn't scan the correct barcode all the time and you have to delete the entry and rescan it, the "Imager Pick List" option will help!

The "Imager Pick List" will give a user the ability to choose which barcode they need scanned. This usually happens when multiple barcodes are beside each other.

The MC70, MC9090-G, and some newer MC50s have this option already, no need to upgrade the OS.

On the MC50 you will need to either update the OS or update the device to have the "Imager Pick List" option. Instructions for how to do the updates are in the link.

OS upgrade seemed to take.

OS upgrade seemed to take. I enabled the Pick List feature and did some scanning in the MC50 Demo mode. Appeared to do a much better job at capturing the correct barcode. I was able to scan items with fewer errors than before without the aid of a cover sheet.

Enable Pick list mode

Enabling "Pick List" Mode:

1. Start/MC50 Demo/CTL Panel/Scanner Settings/Reader Params…/Picklist Mode “Tap to Enable”
2. Tap OK, Tap OK, Tap Exit.

OKAY...
Found the setting, but It is still next to impossible to scan the Serial Number barcode on an HP desktop/laptop, since it is printed right next to the Part number. Any one else have this issue?

No problem

We had the same problem as we mostly use HP's however this setting made it a lot easier to deal with the problem of miss scanning SN, where before if you scanned in the wrong one you had to manually delete it. Otherwise, with the pick list mode you just pick out of the two.

Thanks,
