Today is a big day. I’m personally very excited to let you know that the public beta programs for Symantec Endpoint Protection 12 and Symantec Endpoint Protection 12 Small Business Edition are now open. Our team has been working hard to make these solutions the best they can be, and we need YOUR help.

Select partners and customers have participated in pre-beta programs since January 2011 and they’ve given us valuable feedback on the implementation, performance and management of the product.  Now it’s your turn to give us your feedback.

We’re all really happy with the latest version of Symantec Endpoint Protection, and I think you’ll be impressed as well. But don’t take my word for it; take a look at some of the comments from a few of our early testers:

Darrel Bowman, CEO, said: “Our customers have responded well to the beta version of Symantec Endpoint Protection 12 Small Business Edition. It has been easy for them to deploy, and offers great protection – which is so important to our SMB customers.”

Chris Sarsfield, President, Sarsfield Technology said:  “I’m really impressed with the different technologies that Symantec has integrated into the new version of Symantec Endpoint Protection. Symantec Endpoint Protection 12 will appeal to both new customers, and those who are upgrading from their current Symantec protection. We appreciate the fact that Symantec involved us in the pre-beta testing of this product, providing us the opportunity to incorporate our feedback into the new version.”

Drew Moen, Principal, Strategic Technology Solutions said: “Strategic Technology Solutions has participated in many beta programs over the years, and rarely has one gone as smoothly as the Symantec Endpoint Protection 12 Small Business Edition beta. As a firm with a specialization in SMB clients, we are very excited about this new product, the technology enhancements that it provides, and the simplicity of deployment. We personally expect excellent results with the new protection engines to fight malware.”

A big thanks to Darrel, Chris, Drew and our other early testers for giving us their feedback – we appreciate it. Symantec Endpoint Protection 12 is a prime opportunity for you to deliver the best security to your customers, as it is unrivaled in its performance and detection capabilities (PDF). Don’t let this opportunity pass you by. Sign up for the beta here today.

All the best,

Thanks Randy, I am having a hard time finding detailed features of the new SEP 12.

Also, this Passmark performance report is pretty bogus as the version for McAfee (4.5) is for an old version of thier management console, not the antimalware product. Viruscan enterprise is on version 8.8 and its really fast, as AV-Test did a head to head against SEP 12. It showed VSE 8.8 to be 22X faster in on demand scanning.

How can we, as your customers, figure out the right story? Why should we upgrade?
