This is no longer an issue by apploying the appropriate point fix.   Because of these issues, they created a pointfix to remove the software portal enhancements.

My publications to Software Portal are still missing.  A fix was developed but it didn't fix the issue and we've had an open ticket for 3+ weeks.

I think deployment really took a hit with the 7.5 upgrade - especially if you use deploy anywhere.

6+ months later, I still am unable to deploy USB3 drivers - which worked just fine prior to 7.5.

The upgrade to 7.5 almost 100% convinced me my next upgrade will be to another product because of lack of support.

Here's one of my prior threads

Our experience here mirrors Lark's; only minor issues/bugs raised to support through our upgrade from 7.1 to 7.5 and then 7.5 SP1. Performance is massively improved which has enabled us to quadruple our client configuration update frequency on the same hardware.

We don't use Asset, Patch or Deployment Server on the 7.x branch (we still use DS6.9)

If you provide support with all the info upfront (see http://www.symantec.com/connect/downloads/simple-log-collecting-batch-file-opening-cases-symantec-support) it will make your life a bit easier.

Kind Regards,
Ian./

I have upgraded multiple SMP servers now to 7.5 SP1 and one thing I can say is that console performance is definitely far better on 7.5 and better again on 7.1 SP1.

The gui for the Package Server tab on the agent is a nice little improvement, as is the inclusion of filters into the activity center interface.

The issues I encountered were generally environment related - not bugs.  You still need to plan, test and re-test to trap and fix/workaround these.

You'd need to describe your specific issues if you want further feedback on whether they might be fixed.

Can someone share their experience (Good or Bad) with Altiris 7.5 upgrade. Any feedback or input is greatly appreciated.  What are some of the obstacles and challanges you had during migration from 7.1 to 7.5?, also did problems you had in 7.1 environment get fixed  in 7.5? and did those issues  re-occurr afterwards with new footprints?.  I know that performance is a big hitter for us in v7.1 and we are looking to stand up new server for 7.5 upgrade in a parallel type environment. Release notes are helpful but we some of issues we have are not documented or fixed in 7.5 and might require further follow up.

It only fixes the high CPU utilization problem?  I was hoping it would have included a fix for my software portal issue.
