Join a User Group - No Secret Handshake Required
Being part of the User Group experience doesn't require a secret handshake, or any sort of painful or humiliating initiation. I infiltrated a meeting of the Salt Lake Endpoint Management User Group the other day and I had a pretty good time. I signed in, got my name tag (still virtually incognito because it didn't say "Ohzone" on it) and wandered over to the breakfast spread.
OK, maybe it wasn't a trip to Disneyland, but there were some pretty helpful demonstrations by other Symantec product users with time to discuss individual experiences and needs. There were Symantec product people on hand to answer questions.
Tracy McGee is demonstrating a basic Workflow design - even I understood this project!
Matt Meservey, from Symantec, discusses upcoming plans for Workflow.
...And rewards... Have I mentioned that? Drawings for Connect points, giveaways, food, filling your head with knowledge, hanging out with likeminded people. Attending a User Group meeting = Win
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments on the Symantec Connect website. The team of moderators and administrators post here regularly about upcoming features, tips, and anything else that relates to the Connect website.

LOL! Great post "ohzone"!
Thanks for coming to our meeting and providing a quick plug for Connect. You are pretty sneaky as I was sitting behind you and didn't notice you had taken any pictures!
I told Leslie she missed out... BIG TIME!

Yes, I was disappointed to have to miss it. Next time!
I learned some things that will help and the demos were great
Is there any way to attend such meetings virtually? Live Meeting? Adobe Connect?

Sometimes meetings are made available online via LiveMeeting, Webex, etc but usually only by request.
Where are you located? There might be a local User Group you could attend in person.
Andy, hi
I'm in Kiev, Ukraine. Will search user groups for local ones. If there's no local UG - then I will create one.

Hi Volo,
We don't have any User Groups in Russia yet.
Contact Wiebke Asmussen to get more details on how to get a User Group started.
You can send her a message by going to her Connect profile:
