Regular readers of The SSL Blog are aware that several online businesses have measured the degree to which transactions increase when an EV SSL Certificate is available on a site. Online retailing giant Overstock.com has measured the results, as has debt consolidation site DebtHelp.com.

The latest to join the list is online copy editing service Scribendi. Scribendi will provide copy editing services to your manuscripts completely over the Web. The company has been doing its business on the Web for over a decade and edits more than a million words each week. Scribendi compared abanonment rates among IE7 users prior to and after deployment of its Extended Validation SSL Certificates, and it measured a 27% improvement in transactions among visitors capable of seeing green address bars.

Here's the press release on Scribendi's transaction uplift due to EV SSL. And here's the complete Scribendi case study.
