I’m pleased to share with you Symantec’s 2010 Corporate Responsibility Report, which highlights the progress we’ve made against our publicly-stated environmental, social, and governance goals.
This report is the result of a months-long collaboration from teams across the company and details Symantec’s progress against specific areas such as information security, human rights, and diversity and inclusion. And as the executive champion of this reporting effort, I’m pleased to see how this work has inspired Team Symantec, at all levels of the company, to take a closer look at how our corporate responsibility efforts generate value for our business.
And we hope to extend that enthusiasm outside of the company by inviting you to join the conversation.
For the first time, Symantec's report becomes interactive via the web rather than a static document. This is the first step toward what I hope will be a much more interactive two-way conversation with Symantec's stakeholders.
We’re proud of the progress we’ve made, and look forward to accomplishing much more. Trust is one of the foundational elements of our business, along with innovation, action, and customer-driven, and these values govern how we engage with each other, our customers, and our partners.
I hope you see Symantec’s values reflected in this report.
I invite you to share your thoughts, concerns and ideas with us. We look forward to hearing from you!
Carine Clark is Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Symantec.
