LiveUpdate issues

Apr 30, 2009 07:52 PM

I would believe that the first step to resolving a LiveUpdate issue is to upgrade it to the latest version using this link:

http://service1.symantec.com/Support/sharedtech.nsf/docid/1999051911110813

I would like to know people's thoughts on this. The idea is to not spend 15 minutes troubleshooting the issue, since the update may resolve it to being with. Besides, having the latest version of LiveUpdate will prevent any future errors from occuring.

Thanks Barkha Bathija for the addendum...

As it read, We just need be sure that we had backed-up this file below before deleting the LiveUpdate folder:
  • Product.Inventory.LiveUpdate
so not to register SEP again.

Also, http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ent-security.nsf/docid/2007100907303548 can be helpful ,this will reregister the live update without reinstalling of the program.
