Looking for File System Archiving UI research participants
Updated: 05 Feb 2010
One of the great things about working on a product development team at Symantec is the depth of resources at our disposal to make our products as good as they can be. One of the resources that the Enterprise Vault team now makes extensive use of is the User Centered Design (UCD) team.
UCD is a process of product design & development that starts with end-users and their needs; rather than with technology. It involves keeping users at the center and “checking in” with them in all the phases of development. The goal is to make our products easier to use, more efficient, more consistent and more satisfying.
As part of this process the UCD team works directly with our customers to understand your use cases and workflows and to see how well certain designs and proposals resonate within the install base. Feedback is gathered through interviews potentially using mock-ups and proto-type designs. To this point, we are currently looking to speak to existing File System Archiving (FSA) customers to validate some concepts we have been working on in the area of end-user search.
So if you are an existing FSA customer, are familiar with the existing Enterprise Vault search tools, have 1-2 hours of time and would like to help us continue to produce great products, then please drop me a private message. This is your chance to have a direct influence on future versions of Enterprise Vault. We are looking to hold sessions (done remotely through WebEx/LiveMeeting) in the coming weeks.
Many Thanks,
Darren
