I began working at Symantec back in 2006 when I joined the Enterprise Vault support team in Heathrow, FL. Prior to joining Symantec I worked as a network engineer and technology consultant specializing in Microsoft products like Exchange and SQL Server.
As the EV support team grew rapidly in the US in those early years, I joined Backline. In that role I enjoyed troubleshooting some of the most complex cases and working directly with our customers and EV engineering. Though I supported almost all EV products (the exceptions being the Accelerators and Domino) I was mainly focused on Exchange archiving and OWA.
It was a non-stop learning experience, and I probably would still be working for Support if not for the opportunity I was given to join the EV engineering team as a CFT diagnostics engineer in 2013. As a diagnostics engineer I work customer escalations from our global support team and help find root cause and suitable resolutions.
I hope to use this blog to share some information about the product, the process of troubleshooting, tools, and anything else relevant to our customers, partners, and support team.
