The easiest way to Migrate and Upgrade multiple EV Servers under same EV Site from EV 9.0 32bit Operating System to EV 10.0 64bit Operating System is to use "Enterprise Vault Server Settings Migration wizard"

The document is the above technote explains the process for single EV Server.

Note: Before performing one step upgrade and migrate using "Enterprise Vault Server Settings Migration wizard" please check upgrade and migration path for the EV version that you have installed and the version that you want to upgrade to.

If you have multiple EV Servers under Same EV Site then follow the following process to migrate and upgrade all of your EV servers at the same time

For Example If you have three EV Servers (EV1, EV2, EV3) and EV1 is your first EV Server (Directory Server)

Step1: Prepare 3 new EV Server using Windows 2008 R2 64bit OS and install EV10 but do not configure

Step2: Prepare all existing EV Servers for Migration by following the migration document from above technote link

Step3: Export the migration packages in following order

EV3 first, then
EV2, then
EV1, last server to export settings

Step4: Change All necessary DNS aliases to point to new EV Servers.

Step5: Remap all Storage (Index / Vault Sotre etc) to new EV server using same drive letter / path

Step6: Import the migration packages in new servers follow this order below

EV1 first and start the Directory Service and let it upgrade the directory DB and then start the Storage Service and let it upgrade the local Vault Store DB. Check for event logs for upgrade completion. Start Directory service and wait for the DB upgrade to complete and check event log - Event 8575 (upgrade started) Event 8576 (upgrade completed). Next start the storage service and check event log - Event 6958 (upgrade started) Event 6959 (upgrade complete)

Then import EV2 and start the Directory service and then Storage service and let it upgrade associated local Vault Store DB. Check for event logs for upgrade completion. Start Directory service and start the storage service and check event log - Event 6958 (upgrade started) Event 6959 (upgrade complete)

Then import EV3 and start the Directory service and then Storage service and let it upgrade associated local Vault Store DB. Check for event logs for upgrade completion. Start Directory service and start the storage service and check event log - Event 6958 (upgrade started) Event 6959 (upgrade complete)
