Q:
When are you going to add some meat to the bones of the Asset ASDK?

Currently the only functions available are "GetAssetStatus" and "SetAssetStatus" I'd love to be able to manage a lot of my associations (like Location or Cost Centre) via an automation.

I currently do quite a bit of this via Connector, but his is pretty kludgy, and being able to gin up some C# to take care of things would be very handy!

New ASDK API available for setting associations in EAR Release

Recently, new functionality has been released in the Early Access Release (EAR) of the ASDK which adds an API to the ASDK to handle setting associations. The EAR is similar to beta, but without any type of support and available to customers who have signed up with the Developer Program for the ASDK. If you have signed up, please download and use the EAR to try this new functionality. If you have not signed up for this program, it is expected that this functionality will be available in the next general release of the ASDK.

In general, the best place to post questions, issues and feature requests related to the ASDK is the ASDK forum which is monitored by the development team.

Access to the forum is a privilege for paid customers; if needed, please contact your local Altiris sales representative for pricing details. Also, the Developer Portal, where you can sign up and log in is located at: www2.altiris.com/portal/Default.aspx?tabid=375
