As you might recall themarquee feature of this release is “Granular Recovery for Exchange” forMicrosoft Exchange 2007 and 2003. This feature provides the ability torecover email mailboxes, folders, or individual messages from an Exchangedatabase backup image. Competitors require 2 backups: one for database recoveryand another for email recovery. Consequently, their Exchange backups require2-5 times more processing and storage. With NetBackup Granular Recoveryfor Exchange, a single, fast database backup now yields both database and emailrecovery.
NetBackup 6.5.3 also introduces the First Availability(FA) program which allows a limited number of our customers early access to therelease and its features. Tim B. made earlier posts about this and invited customers to participate. As a result we havehad over 200 customers sign up for the program! The 6.5.3 FA program has nowbeen running successfully for over a couple of weeks. More than 45 customers have already been running the release successfully in production. An equal number of customers have installed it in a pre-production environment.Rest of the customers have plans to upgrade to the release as soon as they geta chance.
If you are a NetBackup 6.5.3 FA customer, what have your experiences beenso far?
If you didn't get a chance to participate this time in the FA program, would you beinterested in participating in such a program in future?

I am a FA customer that has implemented the 6.5.3 release. I upgraded from 6.5.2A. It has been running in production for a week now, and we have not seen any problems with the 6.5.3
On the 6.5.2A I had problems with scheduled jobs not running, connection error to clients, device down errors. GUI refresh slow.....all gone in 6.5.3!
Not a single bck job has failed. And all restore test`s are 100% sucessfull
Hey all! Just install the 6.5.3!
I am using 6.5.3 on Windows 2003 Server R2 64 bits with Exchange 2007 CCR.
The problem is: I can make a backup on disk but can't browse any individual mailbox for restoration.
No error is shown at all.
