Umm.... it doesn't appear to actually be available.  Just got off the phone with tech support, and they're saying it will be available March 17th.

...any chance of getting trialware? I'd like to evaluate NetBackup as a replacement for the software we run in our Data Center...

Trialware

30 day evaluation licenses are available from your account manager. Be aware that these enable all functionality. Once purchased, you may find that some of the functionality is not available again until you purchase the relevant license keys.

Is NBU 7.1 officially out? I am not able to download it on file connect site even though renewals are up to date.

It's really there :)

You may need to update your license keys to get to the 7.1 section.  There are some instructions in this TechNote which may help:

Technical support question

If NetBackup 7.1 is here already can a company still purchase NetBackup 6.5 and support for this version?

STS: DLP and Storage Foundation for Windows
