As we continue to strive for a better customer experience on Symantec.com, we are pleased to announce the new Product pages are coming soon for all products, in all languages, across all regional sites.
The new Product pages provide a more streamlined user experience by consolidating content, highlighting dynamic content (video, product tours, podcasts, etc) and making it easier to navigate. Because we believe in putting our customers first, we completed several rounds of user testing, as well analyzing web metrics, we fine-tuned the design to ensure more focus was placed on getting our customers the information that they need. Here are just a few of the new features we are bringing to our customers:
The main “hero” space on the product landing page helps draw focus on highlighted and new content. Spotlighting videos, podcasts, white papers, product tours, and other core content, allow us to provide the latest and greatest information around the product to our customers.
NEXT STEPS/CONTACT US
As part of the overall streamlined experience, the new pages will offer a standard element called “Next Steps and Contact Us”. This box will contain unique action links based on the product type and customer needs. Customers can quickly and easily access links such as, product data sheets, trialware, purchasing options, and much more.
Additionally, Symantec wants to ensure we make product research as smooth as possible. If you are ever in need of assistance, the “Contact Us” module offers a variety of ways for you to get the help you need.
With the technical user in mind, we created 2 main areas of content based on the customers different phases of research: “Learn About the Product” and “Use the Product”. The information under the “Learn About the Product” tab allows users to browse through the different product information that is core to product education. With content like Trialware, Data Sheets, and Webcasts, the “Learn About the Product” tab is the one-stop product education center.

The “Use the Product” tab provides a variety of content types that is essential to customers already owning the product line. Customer can expect to find information on product support, training, and renewals just to name a few.
