New Symantec.com Now Live
Phase one of our brand new website which we recently told you about has been launched, providing a new and improved Corporate and Enterprise user experience on Symantec.com worldwide.
The first phase of the rollout includes the new home page, products and solutions landing page, security response landing page, and global navigation.
The new Enterprise site provides a more engaging experience, more dynamic content (integrated social media, video, podcasts, etc), and a simplified display of information. There is a more prioritized global navigation, a better browsing experience with fewer clicks to key pages, and a more seamless user experience.
Using the interstitial overlay from the home page, visitors can easily gain access to the sites they wish to navigate to in a single click. This gives site visitors a more tailored experience – whether it is Enterprise, Norton, Small & Medium Business, or Partners. And once there, they can cross-navigate to the other sites if they wish.
The Enterprise home page is more structured and modular with well-defined content areas helping users to more easily scan the content and navigate into it. The global navigation stands out across the top of the page, the large main banner focuses the user’s attention, and the content is clearly categorized and labeled. The global navigation offers a more streamlined number of menu items along with mega-menus of deep links into key content areas.
Both the Products & Solutions and Security Response landing pages utilize tabsets to simply and clearly showcase our suite of products and security information to users. The pages also provide lots of supporting information such as tools, videos, and other resources.
The new site has a more forward-looking design that is modern and current. The site uses more modern visual elements, a fresh application of the color palette, and an updated imagery style. The pages are supported by a diagonally striped background adding texture and depth. And the color palette is a mix of bursts of yellow, a strong anchor of black, accents of green, and a base of neutral gray to create a consistently branded and high-tech look.
The redesign will continue across the Corporate and Enterprise sites and the next sections are slated to rollout in May. We will continue to keep you updated on this blog.
