Last week Yahoo! went live with its VeriSign Verified Seal. Just like the VeriSign Secured Seal, this seal indicates that a business has a known identity authenticated by VeriSign using the same business authentication methods that have been successful on over 3 million SSL Certificates. That means customers visiting stores hosted on Yahoo's Web Hosting service can enjoy the same level of business identity assurance that they get from over 90,000 independently hosted Web sites. Just as with the VeriSign Secured Seal, a visitor can click on the seal for authenticated information on the site operator's identity. Yahoo! has even given us an example, so we can see what it looks like.
