No data is available for the report type and time range specified
I've been getting this problem just recently:

| Situation: | When running reports in Symantec software or Symantec appliances with software 5.0.0-14 or newer, an error message shows. The text reads: "No data is available for the report type and time range specified" |
| Solution: | Symantec software or Symantec appliances with software 5.0.0-14 or newer does not track report data as a default. Enable tracking using the following steps. By default, the software does not track any report data.
To enable tracking of report data
The no data message continues to show until you select a time range after enabling data tracking. The no data message occurs for any data that is expunged from the MySQL database. |

Basically, someone set the expunger on our machine to a shorter time and it probably erased all the contents. So now, I've got no data to make a report and the monthly meeting is nearing. Another day at the office.
