As Forrester analyst Christian Kane pointed out in his analysis of Symantec’s proposed acquisition of Nukona, enterprises want a single solution to account for their devices, apps and data. I couldn’t agree more.
My last blog post was nearly a month ago, on the day that Symantec announced the agreement to acquire Nukona. I’m proud to say that we have finalized the transaction, and Nukona is now a part of the Symantec family! This is the beginning of a whole new era of growth for Nukona’s products and for the industry, and I’m really excited about it.
As you know, we have always pushed the envelope, and our goals for the Nukona product line are higher than ever. Stay tuned as we continue to drive for greater usability and capability in enterprise mobility security and management with Symantec’s Endpoint Management and Mobility Group.
As Forrester analyst Christian Kane pointed out in his analysis of Symantec’s proposed acquisition of Nukona, enterprises want a single solution to account for their devices, apps and data. I couldn’t agree more. The way I see it, large enterprise customers need to be able to adopt a defense in depth strategy for mobility, just as in the past with other protected assets and information.
As a part of the Symantec family, I expect to see major new capabilities in app and data security roll out. We will continue helping large enterprise IT manage the transition to app-centric computing and to leverage consumer devices. Most importantly, as we join Symantec, corporate IT has a trusted vendor that can satisfy the entire breadth of enterprise security and mobility needs.
The team at Nukona is excited to start on the next phase of our mission to develop and deliver best-in-class enterprise mobility management products. I can’t wait to see what’s next!
