On June 9, 2010, Autonomy® Corporation plc announced its intention to acquire CA® Technologies Information Governance business, including CA Message Manager for email archiving. The transaction is expected to close in early Q3. To view the press release, visit http://www.autonomy.com/content/News/Releases/2010/0609.en.html.

Symantec invites organizations currently using CA Message Manager to migrate to Symantec Enterprise Vault™, the industry leader in email and content archiving. Enterprise Vaults’leadership position, experience, and ease of migration offer CA Message Manager customers a great alternative to the uncertainties of vendor consolidation.

Archiving is a long-term investment for customers. Archiving vendors also need to make a long-term investment – in their products, support, and vision to meet customer archiving needs.  With over 10 years of customer-proven experience in the archiving market, Enterprise Vault archives more than 26 million mailboxes worldwide and maintains a larger market share than any six competitors combined. Symantec helps ensure long-term customer success through a committed product roadmap, extensive partner network and well developed support infrastructure.

See the difference Enterprise Vault can make to your business:

  • Policy-based archiving. Move less-frequently accessed unstructured information from high-cost disk and archive to lower cost storage while applying compression, deduplication and maintaining end user accessibility.
  • Unified archive platform. Archive across multiple content sources including Exchange, Domino, SharePoint, IM, and file servers into a central repository.
  • PST/NSF Migration. PST/NSF migration archives unmanaged personal email messages and attachments, enabling IT to effectively eradicate the use of personal store files and regain control of the information within those files.
  • E-Discovery and Search with Guided Review. Through roles-based access searches can be conducted and results reviewed and navigated based on clustering of data retained within the archive. Results can be marked and tagged by reviewers or according to rules.
  • Granular Legal Hold. Automatically suspend the deletion of archived data in response to internal investigation, litigation or regulatory request.
