blogs.verisign.com is not a great role model for SSL. It has a cert, but fails to send the intermediate CA cert in the SSL exchange. Consequently, Safari 4 on my iMac rejects the site: "This certificate was signed by an unknown authority".
My browser does trust the relevant root, but fails to build a cert path to it as the intermediate CA cert is missing.
