Preparing for Vmworld 2009 San Fransisco
From the 9th to the 22nd of August I visited the United States doing packaging and VirtualStorm setups.
During these two weeks I visited Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, New York, Connecticut, Ohio and Kentucky. I spoke to a lot of people like Axel Wirth of Symantec who was having lunch at the New York airport at a table next to mine. He recognized us because we took Symantec backpacks with us - the ones Symantec gave away in Las Vegas at Manage Fusion.
I arrived at home on Sunday August 22nd and now I'm preparing for VMworld 2009. So Friday the 28th I will be traveling for more then 18 hours to get in San Francisco.
At VMworld we will do a lot of VirtualStorm demos.
- Clone and deploy up to 1000 images on the newest storage solutions. Full SSD disks. Cisco nexus switches and Intel Nehalem processors. That will be very cool. Deploy a full Windows XP image in less then 18 seconds.
- In these images there is unique patent pending technology that enables the images to use and share the same centralized server repository with Symantec's SVS technology
- With our own DVS management console we will demonstrate full application control (activate, de-activate, reset) on 1, multiple and all computers.
- We will also demonstrate a full Office upgrade from Office 2003 to Office 2007 in less then 20 seconds for 1000 Windows XP clients.
It will be a very busy but also very exciting week.
And best of all?
We will bring a webcam that, if possible, will be used to let you all see what we are doing.
If you visit VMworld, please join us to see VirtualStorm for yourself and see our DVS management console that enables you to have full access to every SVS and/or SWV enabled computer.
You can find us at the Greenpages booth #2214.
If you are not able to attend? Keep an eye on my blog right here to see us in action on the webcam. (only if we are able to use it :-)
I'll have to check you guys
I'll have to check you guys out. Deploying XP image in 18 seconds sounds wicked.
