I noticed in the Release

I noticed in the Release Notes for SWV 6.1 SP1 that Vista SP1 32-bit was listed as a supported platform. Isn't Vista SP2 also supported?

I wish Symantec would abandon referring to new versions as Service Packs, Maintenance Packs, and Hot Fixes, etc, and just refer to new versions by the build numbers. I think having this dual naming system causes unnecessary confusion. I noticed when click Help>About in the version of SWV Admin that I currently have installed, it says "Application version 6.1.4108".

Version Upgrade ??

I have version 2.1.3062 of SVS installed.  The release notes do not show that as a version that is available for upgrade to 6.1 SP1 but it does show every version around that one.  Will an upgrade directly to 6.1 SP1 work or will we need to upgrade to a different version first.  If we need to do another upgrade first where can I download the bits for that version?

thanks,

You should be able to, we

You should be able to, we tested 2.x but only the most recent release (2.1.3071) and there shouldn't be anything in your build that would cause a problem.

But if you're worried try it out on a VM or test machine first.

I noticed that the issue

I noticed that the issue "Only apply patch files to deactivated layers.  Not doing so can cause the patch to not be applied properly." appears both on "RESOLVED ISSUES" and "KNOWN ISSUES".

What is the effective state of this issue?
thank you

it's resolved because now the

it's resolved because now the layer will prompt for a deactivation before applying the patch, if you choose not to deactivate the layer then the patching process will end without doing anything.
