This week has been a great one for Symantec at Parallels’ 2012 Conference in Orlando. Parallels attracts a global audience of over 1200 participants from across the cloud and hosting industries.

We are proud to share that Symantec has been selected by Parallels as its 2011 APS ISV Service Provider of the Year. We were also honored that Symantec’s Fran Rosch was selected to give a keynote at the event.

In addition to our activities at the conference, Symantec announced that it has extended its partnership with Parallels through the Application Packaging Standard (APS) and Parallels Automation for Cloud Marketplace (PACM) platform allowing Service Providers (SPs) to offer additional Symantec software and services to their SMB customers. The Parallels platforms make it easier and more cost effective for SPs to offer Symantec.cloud Email and Endpoint Protection, Symantec Trust Services and Norton consumer solutions to their SMB customers.

Symantec Trust Services, which includes the VeriSign Seal and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Certificates, is also providing greater value-add to website SPs’ offerings by delivering a robust solution of SSL, website Anti-Malware Daily Scan, Vulnerability Assessment, and Seal-in-Search™ protecting confidential information transacted over the Internet. In April of 2012, the VeriSign Seal will become the Norton Secured Seal. The VeriSign Seal is currently displayed up to 800 million times per day in 170 countries.

Symantec is making the seal transition as easy and seamless as possible for partners and customers. The new Norton Secured Seal, with the check mark that is recognized around the world, will continue to help Service Providers enable their customers to grow their businesses by the display of the trust mark.

We are lucky to have fantastic partners and customers who are embracing the transition, here is feedback from The SSL Store we wanted to share with you:

"Symantec has consistently provided us with the right tools to be successful at these events in showcasing the new Norton Secured Seal." Kim Barnard, VP of Operations, The SSL Store.

Thanks Kim! Looking forward to next year’s conference.
